The election!

I've been thinking about this recently a lot and just wanted to share my thoughts, by getting them out in the open:

My concerns, did I choose the right President, did we as a whole choose the right president, will he help the economy my son lives in, and will Hudson and all the other babies have the right to grow up in an economy in a country where everything is equal, where everything will be better, does this help us, does it hurt us?

There are so many unkowns, I'm scared of what the outcome will be? I think it makes me a lot more unsure, because I do have someone that I have to raise and be there for him, and this outside world is very scary! With drugs, sex, teen pregnancy, rape, violence, what do you tell your child that the world has come to? I know these have ALL been here and probably have been worse at times? But now I have to deal with it from a whole different perspective!I know that in 4 years it might not affect him as a person as much, but I know that overall it will effect everyone! I hope that with this come change, change for the better, change for Americans, change for the world. I know there are so many things that won't be able to be fixed in 4 short years, but I hope that it will begin the process. I hope that the things that are promised to be changed really will be.

I didn't think that in my lifetime at this young of an age that an African American would become president, I'm proud of our country that it made this change, closing the equality boundries by a fraction, I hope that what Abraham Lincoln said in his Gettysburg Address: that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

I hope this as true as it was then that it will even be truer now! I just continue to pray that we as Americans have chosen the right path, the right way the country needs to go, that we need to focus on us as a whole before we can focus on the outside world. I just look at my son, and know that I want, that I NEED him, to grow up in a soceity where he knows that his voice will be heard, that he will have the right to choose, the right to live, the right to believe in anything and everything he wants to. I have never voted before this election, I've always thought that since I didn't know what they were for, then I shouldn't vote, because I didn't want my vote to sway one way or another, just because that's who I "thought" I should vote for. I never took the time to really understand who or what they stood for, I don't know if it was because I was naive, or I was lazy, or I didn't want to say I voted for the person who hurt our country.

Then as I have my son now, I look back, and see how much people went through to have the RIGHT to vote, especially as a woman, the RIGHT to choose, the RIGHT to live in our FREE country, the RIGHT to live the way that we want to live. So now I have to teach my son that having the RIGHT to do something is a privledge and we should take it as that, that we should get involved and learn new things every day and strive to make a difference. I need to teach him to not take things lightly and to have something to believe in, to strive for, to succeed at! I need for him to know that he can make a difference if he chooses to, and for me to let him choose his own path in life.

Hudson Rolling Over!!!!

I haven't been the best at letting Hudson have tummy time, so I decided today to try it! So I got his activity mat out and layed him on his tummy and turned around to get the camera, and he was already on his back!!!! So I put him back,and he rolled over again and he did it again! and again! and again!!! I was so excited! Here is a little video of him rolling over and a couple of him just smiliing, and laughing at the camera!!

Hudson's 3 months!!!

Can you believe it! My baby boy is 3 months old!!! How could it be so fast! I never knew how fast time flew when you don't want it to! I love my baby boy more than he could ever know! He's smiling a lot and laughing a lot, and his grabbing things now too! He grabbed my hair this morning, and he thought it was funny!!!! He likes to be sung too(even in my horrible voice!), which sometimes I think he stops crying cuz my singing is so bad, but he laughs when I sing! We have a song that I made up! (goes to you are my sunshine!)

"You are my Hudson, my baby Hudson, you make me HAPPPPPPYYYY because you are my Bubbaroo, you never know dear, how much I love you, so please don't take my Huddie away!!" LOL




He loves to take baths, but once he's out of the water, he doesn't like it anymore!


He is an awesome baby! He sleeps from anywhere from 9-10pm to 8:30-9:30am! He loves to sleep in like Mommy!!! I just upped him to 6 0z of formula!! He's eating the same amount as Drew is now!!!

We went to the pumpkin patch on his 3 month birthday, and I'm going to post some pics!




Thumb Sucker!

Mr. Hudson thinks he's going to be a thumb sucker!!! He has another thing coming! But he looks so darn cute with his thumb in his mouth! I've already had to tell him NO!! LOL I guess it comes a lot earlier than you think it will! But I can't take a thumb away, I can take a paci away, but he could care less if his paci is in his mouth, he takes it out and puts his thumb in there! As I sit here and type, he has his darn thumb sucking away!!! LOL So cute! But darnit, mommy said NO! =)

Babysitting!!

I've started babysitting my friend Kari's little girl and baby boy. Well Ali loves Hudson's Bumbo! She sits in it and reads the coupon books from the mail! It's too funny! She'll sit in there for over a hour and she gets up and it's stuck to her, so she falls foward to get out of it! Well I put Hudson in the Bumbo and he loved it! He was just smiling and laughing! Too cute!!





Well another thing Ali did that was really cute, was she would go up to the babies and wave at them and say "Hi Baby!", this is the only thing I understand from her! LOL that and Doggie!


It is quite a challenge to watch two babies that are 6 weeks apart! They sometimes eat at the same time! Today I had to feed them at the exact same time, and propped them up on the Boppy and sat in front of them holding their bottles!!



Another thing I've started, is I'm ATTEMPTING to knit a hat! I got a knitting loom and am in the process of making a hat for Hudson! Here is a start of it!
















OMG! Hudson held his bottle all by himself!! It was only like for 45 seconds! But it's a start! My baby boy is growing up!!! =(

Comparing Pics

I'm a member of a baby blog, and have been since I was pregnant with Hudson. It's a group of girls that were all due in July, and we could ask questions or just vent with troubles we were having etc. Well now we have continued and are still there for each other, and we post pics of our little ones and still give/get advice. Well one girl posted pictures of her, her husband, and her daughter and asked us all to do the same thing! Well I found one picture of me on Todd's computer and a couple of Todd from his baby book, that I had to take a picture of the picture! Well it's pretty cool to see what we looked like as babies. I need to find my baby pictures from mom's house, but this is one that I have. Let me know what you guys think!?

I'm joining the running Circuit!...


HAHAHA!!! Well I'm atempting to get some exercise and go out walking/jogging/running. Since mom has been doing these runs for a quite a while, Dawn & Uncle David have joined in. Well since I still have some Hudson belly left, I thought why not?! I need to get out and exercise, so I guess this will give me some motivation!



On Tuesday, I decided I wanted to go for a walk, so I got Hudson's stroller and called my friend Kari to see if she wanted to go since she lives in my neighborhood! Well I got outside, and it was COLD!!! So I had to go get a blanket, socks, and a hat for Hudson! Well we started walking and we walked for over a hour! I think it was a little over 4 miles! So not too bad!

Then on Wednesday, I went to moms, to help mom and dad with their lawn, well I asked mom if she wanted to go jogging, so I brought the stroller......well it was really cold, so we decided not to go because of Hudson, so we went to Olive Garden instead! Dawn and Drew met us there! I asked where was Boogie? Dawn said well Alli said since she was taken Andrew, mommy would have one kid, and Alli would stay home, so Daddy could have one kid too! While at Olive Garden, Drew was being so cute!! Drinking out of the water glass, and trying to eat a breadstick!! =)



So Thursday, I was back on track with the running, and took my car around to see how much a mile would be! Well I didn't really realize how MUCH a mile was!! But I'm going to do it! So for my first time running...well like jogging/walking, I did it in 14:55 sec! So it's pretty bad, but it can only get better, right? I'm not sure what my goal is yet? I guess finishing! Not being last! HAHA!
Well I've signed up for the 5k run/walk on the 18th of October..only 15 days left... it's the same run that mom's doing the mini-marathon!! YIKES!!! 13 miles, that's a little ridiculous! But good for her! LOL

Hudson Brock is two months old!!!


Can you believe it!! Hudson is already two months old!! =( My baby is growing up sooo fast! I was talking to someone the other day and and I swear when I had two months left in my pregnancy it went by so slow!!


Hudson is such a good baby! He only cries when he's hungry or has a dirty diaper. It's so cute, he gets his left leg going, kicking it! He brings it up to his belly and then brings and down and kicks! The more he gets frustrated, the faster he does it! Also he can see the bottle, so I show it to him, and he stops crying, but then he starts kicking faster!! Soo cute!! Todd said it's probably the leg that was kicking me in the ribs for so long!!! LOL


He's already growing out of some of his 0-3 month clothes!! Well most of the tags say they're for 24inches, well he was 23 1/2 when he was born!!! He still looks long and skinny though, but he's starting to chunk up a bit! =) We go on Monday for his two month shots! =***( So not looking forward to that!

But he's starting to do new things everyday! Since I'm a papparazzi, I am constantly having a camera in my face, Hudson has started smiling when he sees the camera!!! I really can't believe it! He smiles all the time, and has started to laugh! We say HiiiiIIIIII to him all drawn out, and he coos back at us and smiles! Also, he has a bouncy seat, that has things you can pull down on and it will sing, well he grab it today!! He didn't pull it, but he fell asleep with the ring in his hand!! Too cute!!


However, he thinks he's going to suck his thumb! He starts by putting his whole hand in his mouth then finally it ends with only the thumb! It is really cute, however, I can't take away a thumb, I can take away a paci!



Well I know this is a lot of rambling, but just wanted to Post about my Bubbaroo! I'll post some more pics too!! =) These are his two month pics!

Hudson's Baths!

Well I haven't posted in a while, but, wanted to post some of his pics of his baths. He had his first bath in his bath tub on August 1st! Well he did not like it very well! He was screaming the whole time, so I didn't want him to go through it again, so I just sponge bathed him until I tried it again. The baby tub that I got is a clean flow tub. You have a continuous flow of water that goes in, and the dirty water goes out, and there's a thermometer on the tub, that lets you know the water is safe. Well in the bath tub(that was the 1st time), the water was flowing too fast so it did not work that well. So the second time I decided to do it in the kitchen sink! Well you can actually keep the flow of the water really slow so it works a lot better! Well I was scared to try it again, but he liked it!! He was just sitting there in the water, having fun!!!! But as soon as he got out of the water, he didn't like it at all!! =( Well here are the pics!

He might end up being a boxer! He thinks he's pretty tough!

Hudson's newborn pics!!!

Well FINALLY after 9 whole months of taking pictures of everyone elses babies I got to take Hudson's pictures!!! I changed his outfit 3 times, and changed a poopy diaper, AND did diaper shots! He was awesome, he was awake and alert the whole time! And never cried! I was so excited, that he did such a great job! He seriously was the best newborn baby I've ever took pics of, and he was my own baby!!! I told Todd, you cannot rush me or tell me to hurry today, because I've been looking forward to this for so long! LOL!! We were there for 2 1/2 hours!! LOL!! So I finally got them posted on here!!
